Hands-on Literacy Games
Moving towards a more human-to-human experience where kids can chat, laugh, and learn together, beginning readers enjoy literacy games with a partner or a small group while further developing their academic potential. Through fun games based on the scope and sequence of phonemic awareness and phonics instruction, we can give beginner readers the confidence to develop reading and social skills.
Nourish Readers
Given the extent of persistent literacy challenges some learners are facing, there is an urgent need to support their literacy development. As learning coaches, our Nourish Readers program takes a unique role in providing one- on-one or two-on-one coaching sessions to learners of ALL ages!
We promise to:
- Conduct face-to-face pre-assessments as a diagnostic tool for instruction.
- Take a whole-person approach to development.
- Meet learners where they are and co-create literacy goals with learners.
- Use practices that are evidence-based.
- Use evidence-based practices to support instructional decisions.
- Connect speaking, listening, reading, and writing frequently in coaching sessions.
- Connect learning sessions to prerequisite skills leading to grade-level standards.
